World Class Professor

World Class Professor (WCP) is a program provided by Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti) of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia to encourage the improvement of the quality of international publications. The program has been implemented since 2017, aims to provide opportunities for domestic university lecturers to collaborate and interact with world-class professors and has already produced outputs in the form of joint publications in reputable journals, as well as making proposers as first authors, while partners from WCP are co-authors.



The WCP program is also held in order to support “Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka” program, which includes improving the performance of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and the competitiveness of Human Resources in higher education, as well as increasing the ranking of universities towards QS WUR 100 to 500 of the world's best. There are two schemes for this WCP program (scheme A and scheme B). Some requirements must be fulfilled by the proposing university who is an accredited institution minimum B and the proposing university is obliged to manage immigration documents for the invited professor (prioritized that can provide cost sharing in the implementation) and each proposing university can propose more than one proposal.
